EHFA Events
“Bringing the health and fitness sector together”
The European Health and Fitness Association (EHFA) strive to regularly interact with our members in order to offer the best possible service to the sector. We see it as integral to our work to bring the various stakeholders of the sector together, through a series of annual or bi-annual events.
These events and forums aim to further EHFA’s objectives of representing the fitness sector in Europe. They facilitate discussion and the exchange of ideas and best practices which assist the continued raising of standards in the sector, and help to achieve our goal of “More People, More Active, More Often”.
The EHFA National Associations Forum - 23rd / 24th May 2012, Brussels
Gathers national associations from throughout Europe to exchange views and experiences from the previous year and to showcase successful projects to other associations. The forum spreads good practice and is a tool for the development of existing associations and the stimulus to develop new associations. The forum is also attended by guest speakers who update national associations on specific important topics.

EHFA Seminar “The State Of Research In The Global Fitness Industry” - 23rd / 24th May 2012, Brussels
Research is a crucial element in the development of any sector, and the health and fitness sector is no exception.
That is why EHFA is inviting our members and all interested parties to a seminar on this subject, which together with a number of researchers will elaborate results of their two year work that was compiled in the new publication “The State of Research in the Global Fitness Industry”.
The seminar will see the launch of the English and German versions of this unique, groundbreaking book.

EHFA General Assembley 24th May 2012, Brussels
All EHFA members should note that the GA 2012 will take place in Brussels (instead of Essen). An invitation to EHFA Members together with all relevant documents will be circulated one month prior the meeting.

The EHFA University - 4th to 8th June 2012, Barcelona
Is a one week executive education program, developed in consultation with IESE Business School in Barcelona, specifically for fitness sector executives. It will be held in 2012 from June 4 - 8 at the campus of IESE in Barcelona, Spain. Click here for detailed information, program details and registration form.

EHFA Executive Leadership Forum - next event in 2012
The EHFA Executive Leadership Forum ( ELF) is an invitation only, high level 2 day event for CEO’s of fitness chains and select EHFA partner suppliers.
The concept is to bring together top fitness operators to stimulate entrepreneurial and innovative thinking and brainstorm future development of the European health and fitness sector. High quality top executive leadership is vital for any sector and EHFA believe in bringing those leaders together to discuss the future direction and new ideas for the sector.

The EHFA EU Policy Forum - next date TBD
Brings together EHFA’s Platinum Partners (fitness operators and suppliers) to discuss important policy issues with each other and with representatives from the EU Commission. Topics can vary from year to year and range from issues as diverse as taxation, research, education and health, among others. Given that the policy landscape is constantly evolving, EHFA believes this dialogue on policy issues between EHFA, its members, and EU officials is vitally important.
